Send a file straight to someone else’s browser.
Drop it here, share the link, and it travels from your device to theirs. Nothing is uploaded to our servers along the way.
No account needed for a quick send. Teams get history, shared limits and an API.

They stay on this device until a recipient downloads them.

How a transfer works
Step 1
Choose files
They stay on your device. Xferio only records the file names and sizes you choose to share, so the recipient knows what is coming.
Step 2
Share the link
Send it any way you like. Add a password if the link might travel further than you intend.
Step 3
They download while your tab is open
Their browser connects to yours and the bytes stream straight to their disk. When everyone is done, close the tab.
Worth knowing before you send
- Both of you need to be online
- Because nothing is stored on a server, the recipient can only download while your tab is open. Xferio is not a place to park files.
- Sometimes the data takes a relay
- Some networks block direct connections. Then an Xferio relay forwards the data. It is still encrypted between the two browsers, and the relay can’t read it.
- Large files stream to disk
- Modern browsers write the file as it arrives, so size isn’t limited by memory. Older browsers keep the whole file in memory, which practically limits them to a few hundred megabytes.
- Encryption, plainly
- Every transfer is encrypted in transit by WebRTC (DTLS). Xferio does not add a separate end-to-end encryption layer on top, and we don’t claim one.
